Its not surprising that the majority of pet fish purchased here in the United States are for children, they just love them. Having two kids of my own and a couple of fish, I know for certain that they can sit and watch those fish swim around in their tank for hours, and have a blast doing so. Fish are truly some of the most peaceful creatures in the world and they make wonderful pets.

Sure its true, you can’t take a fish for a walk or play with it in the backyard, but you can cozy up next to the tank and daydream as you stare endlessly into cool water. Now of course if you have decided to buy a fish for you or for your kids, its going to need a name and that’s what you’re waiting for here so when it comes to kids and probably even you, one of the best perks to getting a pet fish or any pet for that matter, is choosing the name, and hey who doesn’t love funny names?

It can be difficult coming up with new names, I tend to draw a blank as soon as I start to think about it, but there are some tricks that will help. Try thinking of your favorite movie and television characters, or maybe your child has a favorite cartoon character with a funny name. Look around the house for inspiration, funny names often come from the strangest places, that’s what makes them funny. So, for your enjoyment, I have created this list of political parties that have names that make you think one thing and then looking at their platform tells you something else.

Conservative Party (South Africa)
This must mean that Conservatives are violent reactionaries, this party that broke off from the National Party (The party which was in power during apartheid) tried as hard as it could to oppose ending the items that the Apartheid Rule instituted and senior members of the party murdered a political opponent, Chris Hani of the South African Communist Party.

Felicity Party (Turkey)
This must be the Party of happiness and bliss, right?
Wrong!
The Felicity Party might be happiness to some, but I bet not to many people. The Felicity Party is strongly Islamist, strenghten it’s military because it thinks Western nations want to invade Turkey, and was a leader in the over-the-top response (People being killed and massive riots, you remember it, right?) to the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons debacle.

Liberal Party (Hong Kong)
Must be liberal, right?
Wrong!
The Liberal Party is against the minimum wage, collective bargaining, antitrust legislation, and welfare.

Liberal Party of Australia
Must be liberal, right?
Wrong!
The Liberal Party is very socially conservative, it is incredibly tough on immigration, supports the Iraq War, and supports economic liberalism, which is just another way of saying that they want to privatize and deregulate services.

National Bolshevik Party (Russia)
Must be Bolshevik, a type of Russian Marxist, right?
Wrong!
The party’s ideology is on the fringe right. Incredibly anti-semitic, has attacked people on both the left and the right, and is so extreme that it has even been banned.

Party of God
Must be a real Godly party, right?
Actually, Party of God in Arabic becomes hizbu-llah, or Hezbollah. You know, the terrorist organization.

Social Democratic Party (Portugal)
Must be Social Democrats, Socialists who say that the state must remain free while becoming socialist, right?
Wrong!
This party is actually considered to be a center-right party.

Another reason the Left is better, I am honestly having a hard time finding parties on this side that have misleading names. There is no “Conservative Party” which is actually liberal. That’s Pretty interesting IMHO.
